Carer Visa AustraliaSubclass 116 and 836, explained Ask about your case

Privacy note

Updated 24 September 2026

This privacy note explains what happens to the details you send through the enquiry form on carervisaaustralia.com.au. The rest of the site collects no personal information: reading the guide needs no account, and the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

What the enquiry form collects

The form asks for your name, your email address and a short description of your situation. Your phone number is optional. It also asks whether you are the relative who would give care, the relative who needs care, or a sponsor, and whether the person applying is in Australia. The page you came from is recorded so the reply can pick up where you were reading.

Please don't send passport numbers, medical records or copies of documents through the form. Nobody needs them at the enquiry stage.

Who receives it

Your enquiry is passed to a registered migration practice so that it can reply to you. That practice may offer you paid services. You are free to decline, and sending an enquiry doesn't commit you to anything. This website is not the Department of Home Affairs, and your enquiry is not sent to the Department.

Where it is stored and for how long

Enquiries are stored in the website's own storage, which runs on Cloudflare's network. They are kept for up to two years and then deleted automatically. The email that carries your enquiry to the practice is sent through Cloudflare's email service.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the details you sent. Write through the enquiry form and say what you would like done. Personal information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are not satisfied with a response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

A registered professional makes a grant more likely

If you are unsure what to include in an enquiry, keep it short. A registered migration agent will ask for anything else they need, and only once you decide to go ahead.
